Host an Endless Closet
Quiet Support. Real Access. Built Where Kids Are.
The Endless Project’s Endless Closet model was born from lived experience. For more than three years, a fully stocked essentials closet has existed inside a classroom on campus, meeting student needs in real time with dignity and care. What began as an intentional setup became proof of something powerful:
When support is embedded within trusted spaces, children, both familiar and new, access resources without hesitation or fear.
Grounded in the founder’s experience across education and child welfare, this model was built to identify and address gaps in access early, placing support directly where children already feel safe.
Today, Endless Closets bring that same proven approach to schools and community spaces that serve children every day.
What Is an Endless Closet?
An Endless Closet is a discreet, on-site space stocked with essential items children may need to fully participate in school, athletics, and everyday life. Closets can take many forms, such as a dedicated room, a cabinet, or a shelving unit, because size does not determine impact. What matters most is access.
Why On-Site Access Matters
When resources live inside trusted spaces, support is immediate and stigma is reduced. Children remain focused, confident, and engaged, while educators and staff are able to respond quickly to need. This model is trauma-informed, relationship-based, and rooted in dignity.
What Items Are Included
Each Endless Closet is tailored to the specific needs of the site it serves. Closets may include hygiene and personal care items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, wipes, and feminine hygiene products. Clothing basics like socks, undergarments, and weather-appropriate essentials are also commonly provided. When applicable, closets may include school supplies such as backpacks and classroom materials, as well as athletic essentials including shoes, uniform pieces, and sports gear.
What We Provide
The Endless Project supports host sites by offering initial stocking of essential items based on availability, guidance on closet setup and implementation, and restocking support when possible. We maintain ongoing communication and collaboration with host partners to ensure the closet continues to meet the needs of the children it serves. All support is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
What We Ask From Host Sites
To ensure sustainability and effectiveness, host partners typically designate a point of contact, provide a secure and discreet space for the closet, help identify ongoing needs, and distribute items with care and confidentiality. We work closely with each partner to ensure the Endless Closet integrates seamlessly into their existing environment and support systems.
Who Can Host an Endless Closet
Endless Closets can be hosted by elementary, middle, and high schools, athletic departments, libraries, community centers, and after-school or youth programs. If your space serves children, you may be a great fit to host an Endless Closet.
